JOÃO MIGUEL REAL
PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / DIRECTOR OF ANIMATION
Born in Lisbon in ‘79, João is experienced in 3D, stop motion, traditional and digital animation formats. He worked in Sardinha em Lata animation studio from ‘10 to ‘14 as director, animator, layout artist and compositor and has participated in the production of various award winning animated short films and TV shows. Professor at Lusofona University. Guest speaker of Animation Technologies at the Animation Design and Multimedia Degree Course of Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre. Won the Méliès D’Argent at Lund for the animated short Macabre in '17.
JERÓNIMO ROCHA
PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / ART DIRECTOR
Born in Porto in ’81, Jerónimo soon developed a taste for visual storytelling. He works in the Lisbon based Production Company TAKE IT EASY since '05, as a director, illustrator, editor and animator and worked on a extensive array of projects that include feature films, commercials, music videos and animations. He won the Brigadoon Award at Sitges in ‘16 for the short film Arcana and the Méliès D’Argent at Lund for the animated short Macabre in ‘17.



MARIA MANUEL
DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR
MM's career began in '05 at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, with whom Maria has kept collaborating as project manager in Operas, big public initiatives, exhibitions, among other. In the span of her career, MM has worked in many educational projects with some of the most relevant Portuguese educational institutions; and some of the most prominent jazz artists and musical groups in Portugal. In '10 MM started a new path in Theater production, working with some directors in almost all the Portuguese Theater houses. She was the co-founder of Stage One in '12, a prod. company dedicated to cultural projects focusing on a younger audience. In '19 started collaborating with EASYLAB / TAKE IT EASY.
ANA PAULA CATARINO
PROJECT MANAGER
Ana Paula Catarino studied New School University in NY and has over 25 years of experience with audiovisual in New York, USA; São Paulo, Brasil; and Lisbon, Portugal. AP has worked in projects with Bill Murray, Madonna & Massive Attack and delivered to global players like Google, Netflix, Cartoon Network, Youtube, Globo News among others. Founding partner and CEO at Oca Animation, AP developed and produced “Hora do Rock” an original show streaming on Globoplay, an original show “Ginga” for Cartoon Network and “Mão de Vaca Show” for Itaú/Youtube. In 2017 AP produced the award winning “Animals” that premiered in Annecy and went on to accumulate over a dozen accolades.
